Most psychopathologies are associated with the underlying physiological disruption that can lead to chronic illness and impact quality of life and even longevity, it is crucial that mental illness and related issues are addressed in a systematic manner using mind-body cognitive and behavioral procedures to progressively reduce and eventually eliminate symptoms that can drive actual disease trajectories. Central to this process is knowing how mental illness and psychotherapy are impacting underlying brain-mind-body response patterns using advanced biomarker assessment and outcome (result) analytics.
The therapeutic process is collaborative and educational with clients learning about mind-body-healing dynamics and mechanisms and how to use technology tools and understand biomarker feedback in the context of their psychological issues. Dr. Carlstedt is also an award-winning Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychologist who has worked with athletes and performers for over 30 years worldwide including 15 years on professional tennis tours.
