Paola Solivan, Psy.D., LMHC
Doctoral Resident
Dr. Solivan is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Thriving Center of Psychology. She completed all her graduate studies at an American Psychological Association accredited program at Albizu University in Doral, FL. Dr. Solivan is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 5 years of experience helping individuals from different multicultural backgrounds.
Dr. Solivan has experience delivering treatment services for a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, phobias, attention/hyperactivity issues, sleep difficulties, work/life stressors, burnout/fatigue, relationship issues, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance use disorders, and psychotic disorders.
Dr. Solivan’s approach to therapy is integrative and tailored to the individual’s needs by combining techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. She considers every person as a new and unique human being in front of her, who needs particular and personalized care and service. Her objective is to provide the best quality treatment for her patients by helping them identify their own goals and definition of their top quality of life.
Dr. Solivan provides therapy services in English and Spanish, depending on the person’s needs and preferences.
