Yes, talking to a therapist can help you to unload and see a different perspective. Talking and feeling listened to can help you to find the answers to your own questions in a judgment-free and safe environment.
The cost of a therapist in Miami depends on the experience and training of the therapist. Therapy fees in most major cities cost between $100 to over $400. While we don’t accept insurance, Thriving Center of Psychology provides therapy services for different budgets from $150 to $400 per session.
While both the terms “psychologist” and “therapist” are used interchangeably in the world of mental health, there is a difference. All psychologists are therapists, but not all therapists have undergone the additional training required to be a psychologist.
Yes, Dr. Dennison is not only fluent in Spanish but also has a profound understanding of the cultural norms of Spanish-speaking clients to provide the most effective therapeutic treatment.
Therapy in your native language can feel more emotional and make you feel understood and listened to. Speaking in your mother tongue can connect you to your culture and be comforting in a therapy setting.
Language has a huge part to play in the therapeutic process, contributing to your trust and understanding with your therapist. Language is also essential in explaining how you feel in an authentic and unaltered way.
