Helen Shields, LICSW

Helen Shields, LICSW is a licensed independent clinical social worker. She works to create an environment where trust is developed and clients feel safe. She believes therapy is a collaborative process between the therapist and those that she works with. Helen provides you the opportunity to explore and design a plan to make the desired changes in your life and help you achieve your goals. There are influences in the world, including yourself that want to take away your self-power. Hele will give you the tools and mechanisms to overcome the challenges you face. 

Helen has experience working with clients who might be struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-confidence, self-reliance, and self-regulatory skills. She also works with parents and families to help understand childhood development and help foster better relationships. Some therapy techniques Helens uses are CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy.
