Dr. Dushyant “Shawn” Makadia is a doctoral fellow and registered psychological assistant who received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University. His clinical training includes positions at Stanford University Medical Center, community and inpatient mental health centers, and multiple VA facilities, including a pre-doctoral internship at the Loma Linda VA Medical Center. Dr. Makadia specializes in working with adults struggling with various mental health issues, including trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, addictions, and men’s issues. He is a compassionate and skilled therapist who uses a wealth of evidence-based approaches to treatment, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Cognitive Behavioral Analysis Systems of Psychotherapy (CBASP) for Chronic Depression, and Mindfulness.
